If you have found yourself in search of a new SUV, the 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee or the 2019 Nissan Pathfinder may be exactly what you are looking for! Both of these stunning new SUVs have a great deal of similarities, but also have several differences that are worth learning about before making the decision of which one would best suit your needs. For example, both of the base models come with relatively similar price tags! If price is the main concern that will impact your choice of which to go with, it would be beneficial to note that the MSRP for a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee starts at $31,945 while the 2019 Nissan Pathfinder is a little less expensive, and is priced at $31,430!

Both of these two new vehicles offer multiple models, and each have trim level options to choose from! The new Jeep Grand Cherokee offers seven variations (Laredo, Limited, Trailhawk, Overland, Summit, SRT, & Trackhawk). On the other hand, the 2019 Pathfinders give customers four model options (S, SV, SL, & Platinum) that will surely include features that will spark your interest.

One of the major differences that is worth noting between these two new SUVs is that there are a couple engine options that are available in the 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee, while the new Nissan Pathfinder comes with only one! The Grand Cherokee offers customers a 3.6-liter V6 engine (295 horsepower) as well as a 6.2-liter V8 engine that puts out a total of 707 horsepower! The only available engine configuration you will find in the new Nissan Pathfinder is a 3.5-liter V6 that gets up to 284 horsepower! If performance is what you are looking for in a new SUV, it is easy to see that the 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee's V8 engine configuration offers significantly higher performance than the Nissan Pathfinder.

Fuel efficiency is also a key component when shopping for a new SUV. Base models of the 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee offer 19mpg/city and 26mpg/highway which is closely comparable to the 20mpg/city and 27mpg/highway that come with the 2019 Nissan Pathfinder! However, when it comes to more expensive model options that are offered in the Jeep Grand Cherokee, there is also a difference in the fuel economy that comes with each package. For example, the SRT edition of the Grand Cherokee offers up to 13mpg/city and 19 mpg/highway, but comes with several other safety & technology features that, in my opinion, make up for those fuel economy statistics!

According to newcars.com the 2019 "Jeep Grand Cherokee requires fewer stops at the gas station than the Pathfinder", but if what you are looking for is a larger vehicle with more available seats the Nissan may be the better option as it can transport up to seven passengers at a time! The Jeep Cherokee only offers a five passenger capacity! The Pathfinder also provides more interior cargo space than the Jeep, which would be beneficial if you have taller passengers along for the ride! Although the Nissan can fit more people, the Jeep Grand Cherokee offers relatively the same towing capabilities in case you have something you need to haul!

As well as the available third row of seats, the Nissan Pathfinder also includes a dual-panel panoramic moon roof option and an "Intelligent around view monitor system"! On the other hand, the 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee offers the option for the "Full Speed Forward Collision Warning System" as well as "Lane Sense" technology! Regardless of the model and trim level you choose, there are several features that will be beneficial to have in your new SUV!

As you can see, both the 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2019 Nissan Pathfinder have something to offer everyone! Depending on your specific lifestyle and driving habits, you should have no problem finding a new SUV that would be a perfect fit! I would highly recommend getting behind the wheel of each of these options if you are in the market for a new SUV so you can see for yourself what these new Jeep and Nissan models have to offer firsthand!
